Studio Policies
EQUIPMENT: I accept students having an acoustic piano or digital piano (88 keys) with velocity-sensitive keys in their homes. A metronome is necessary and can be purchased at any music store.
PERFORMANCES: Because music is an art form to be shared with others, two recitals will be held each year. Participating in perfomance opportunities is important for musical growth and is expected in this studio.
PRACTICE: Regular practice is essential to any musician's progress. Students are expected to practice 5-6 days every week . A general rule to follow is the student's minimum practice time should equal their lesson time. One long day of practice is not as effective.
ABSENCES: Credit is not given for missed lessons. You are welcome to trade with another student if unable to make your lesson time. If I have an opening I will try to reschedule a student but will not guarantee this possibility.
TERMINATION: Termination of lessons may only take place at the end of a quarter with 2 week's notice.
