I grew up in Madagascar, a child of missionary parents.  I attended HS and college in the US, earning a BSN.  After several years of nursing I returned to my love of music and have taught piano ever since.  I have taken piano pedagogy classes which enhanced my teaching skills.  My many years of teaching experience are also a plus to students.  I am a Nationally Certified Teacher of Piano.

 

I study piano with Sara McDaniel, NCTM and participate in a monthly performance group with other adult students. This keeps my own piano skills fresh while I continually add to my knowledge of repertoire that I can teach.  I serve as PPMTA's vice president of membership.
